Isn’t it terrific how citrus fruits make their appearance at such a drab time of year?
When I think I can’t possibly stand another cloudy day, I peel an orange or zest a lemon and my whole world seems instantly brighter. I love it.
For the past week or so, I’ve been eating a Cutie practically every day. They’re the perfect size for an afternoon snack, and I love how they’re consistently sweet and flavorful.
I can’t remember how I came across this simple recipe from How Sweet It Is- I was either browsing the archives or browsing Pinterest- but I decided to try it today and it was delish!
The recipe is so quick and easy, and you only need 3 ingredients…
And coarse salt.
Just dip the Cuties in the chocolate, sprinkle with salt, and you’re done! My Cuties will definitely be getting this treatment more often in the future :) I would actually even eat this for dessert too.
Recipe adapted from How Sweet It Is
2 Cuties, peeled and segmented
2 ounces of dark chocolate (this amount will vary depending on how heavily you coat the citrus)
Coarse salt for sprinkling
Melt the chocolate. Dip the Cuties in the chocolate. Lay the dipped pieces on parchment paper. Sprinkle with salt.
Note: The original recipe says to chill the dipped citrus for 10 minutes in the fridge before eating, but I made this recipe from the memory of reading it once and didn’t catch that part. They were still delicious.
